Tycoon Gold Addon Review
The Tycoon gold addon review that we have written is for the addon both developed and released by the
Dynasty company. It was the first gold addon of its kind to be released for a game, and as it currently stands, it is actually the only real gold addon available for World of Warcraft (WoW) to date.
Constructed in order to sync and operate with your server's economy, its auction house, and also your characters (taking into account such variables as their factions, levels, and professions), the purpose of the Tycoon addon is to supply you with the utmost powerful and profitable gold making opportunities. In turn, this leads to a massive and consistent increase to your accumulation of gold without the need to put forth much effort.
If you're interested in obtaining a copy of the Tycoon gold addon but find yourself questioning its authenticity, then throughout this review you will learn about what all the addon entails, and how every aspect of it functions in relation to your game. Last but not least, you will also learn how it can be used, without a shadow of a doubt, to ultimately increase your gold earning potential whether you're a novice World of Warcraft player, a seasoned veteran, or somewhere in between.
What Exactly Is the Tycoon Gold Addon ?
To put it bluntly, Tycoon is an invaluable addon that automates and assists you with a multitude of gold making tasks - but before elaborating on how it all works, I will first explain what exactly every feature is.
The primary feature of Tycoon is the fact that it turns the extremely tedious (and most often than not, risky) task of attempting to "play" the auction house into a quick, easy, fun, and most importantly, guaranteed profitable experience that will make you excessive amounts of gold hand-over-fist, day-in and day-out.
Now for those of you that may be wondering, it doesn't matter if you wish to optimize and dominate the auction house with, for example, world-dropped items such as weapons, armor and miscellaneous reagents, gathered items such as herbs and ore, farmed items such as leather, or crafted items such as those related to blacksmithing, tailoring, leatherworking, etc. - because it can all be done.
With that being said, the second and third features of the gold addon, which are seemingly alike visually, but serve completely different purposes (of course), are the live modules for gathering and farming routes.
You see, unlike countless guidebooks and websites that provide you with nothing but the general locations of items - such as, for example, the aforementioned herbs and ore - Tycoon actually provides you with the exact whereabouts of anything you need, at that particular moment in time, due to the fact that it continually scans your server to provide you with real-time results.
How Does Tycoon Actually Work In WoW?
First and foremost, for everything that the Tycoon gold addon
accomplishes through automation, its interface is surprisingly organized
and very easy to navigate, with no real learning curve to it.
Now, as for explaining how everything works within World of Warcraft, I will follow the same formula as I did above and first discuss the auction house portion of this addon, followed by the live gathering and farming modules.
Part I: The Auction House Feature
When it comes to the auction house feature, you have four unique menus at your disposal, each categorized under their own designated tabs (headings), which are all neatly presented within one core window.
1. The Auctions Tab
By utilizing the initial
tab of the auction house feature (which is called "Auctions"), Tycoon
can actively scan your specific server's auction house in its entirety,
providing you with significant data based on under-priced items that
you could buy and then immediately resell for upwards of 100% or more
The "Cur. Price" and "Avg. Price" are indicators of what you could buy and then resell an item for respectively, while "%" shows what your profit percentage would be, and "Profit@Avg" shows how much gold you would earn from the buying and reselling process.
"Daily Breakdown" displays your search frequency for an item based on the days of the week, and actually color-coats the days either green, yellow, red, or grey - meaning that you search for the item on that specific day of the week either often, occasionally, rarely, or never.
Note: Keep in mind that the "Auctions" tab shows you profits based on single item units rather than "stacks" that players commonly buy and sell, thus meaning that the profit percentages per "stack" could be upwards of thousands rather than hundreds (as it is per single item).
2. The Gathering Tab
Under the "Gathering" tab, Tycoon lists routes for items that you could
gather, which would earn you the most gold based on your chosen
professions and their current levels.
As for what all of the subheadings mean; "Avg. Price" displays the average sale price per unit, "Est #/Hr" gives an approximation of how many items you could gather within an hour's time, "Competition" gives an indication of how many others are selling the same item on the auction house, "Trend" shows the popularity of the item on the auction house in terms of player purchases, and "Total Est. G/Hr" displays your approximate earnings per hour.
Now, an interesting feature that I chose to mention last - but it is by far not the least important - is the "Add" button for each item, which is displayed in the form of a satchel/bag.
Upon clicking the button, you are actually shown all of the items that you will obtain along the gathering route (not just those intended to be sold on the auction house), which to be matter of fact, are all taken into account when calculating the aforementioned "Total Est. G/Hr".
3. The Farming Tab
The "Farming" tab is quite similar to the "Gathering" tab in regards to
not only the listed subheadings, but also the fact that it displays what
would earn you the most gold based on your professions and their
In the end, the difference between the two is that the "Farming" tab shows your earning potential based on items that you have to physically combat and defeat enemies in order to obtain.
4. The Crafting Tab
The fourth and final tab of Tycoon's auction house feature is
"Crafting", which, based on your professions and their levels, gives you
a detailed list of items that are currently the best to create in terms
of making you the most gold.
"Sell Price" indicates what the crafted items are currently selling for on the auction house, and as expected, the "Competition" and "Trend" subheadings serve the exact same purposes here as they did in the previously mentioned tabs.
Now, what really makes this tab interesting is that it provides you with the options to both view and purchase the materials needed to create the listed items, which can be accessed by clicking the "Mats" button for each item (displayed in the form of a satchel/bag).
The "Cost" subheading displays the current auction house prices of the materials needed to create a specific item, and "Profit" shows what your earnings would be if you chose to purchase these materials in order to create and sell the item yourself.
Parts II & III: The Live Gathering and Farming Modules
As mentioned earlier on, the live gathering and farming modules are
considered to be the second and third features of the Tycoon gold
addon - and this is because many people initially consult the auction
house feature in order to see what the bestselling items related to
their professions are before making use of them.
Nevertheless; the way in which these modules work is that, first you select an item related to one of your professions that you wish to collect (whether it be a specific leather, ore, cloth, herb, etc.), and then Tycoon highlights exact paths for you to follow within the most profitable zones, as well as provides you with a list of these zones.
As you can see in the example images below, you are actually given a pin-pointed route to follow in order to ensure that you will always be gathering at your maximum potential - and these routes are not only shown on the world map, but also on your mini-map as well.
(A mining route in Uldum on the World Map)
(A skinning route in Mount Hyjal on the World Map)
(The same skinning route in Mount Hyjal, but on the Mini-Map)
So, to bring our Tycoon gold addon review to a close, if you've been hesitant on purchasing Tycoon due to uncertainty in regards to its
authenticity, then now you can clearly see how it indeed provides you
with opportunities which can definitely make you large amounts of gold
in WoW on a steady basis without the need to constantly be risky and "play" the auction
house or collect materials all day long.
